Once we remove your braces, the retention stage of your treatment will begin.
Retention of your smile is very important and must be followed to the letter to ensure your teeth stay in their new, straighter positions.
Why Retainers Matter
The final results of your orthodontic treatment depend on your adherence to Dr. Waters' and Dr. Clayton's instructions and your custom-built retainer. Here at Innovative Orthodontics, we urge you to follow through with the work you have done so far and don't quit!
Simply wear your retainers for at least eight hours per day, typically at night. If you do follow the instructions to the letter, you will keep your bright, magnificent smile for life.
About Your Retainer
The retainer piece itself is transparent, removable, and fits across the entire arc of your top and bottom teeth. Retainers, like the Invisalign system trays, have no wires.
They are easy to wear, easy to clean, and inexpensive to replace (though it's important to take care of all of your appliances).
